Visitors can also enjoy reliable bus services that connect to other areas around the lake, enhancing their travel experience.
The island has been designed to remain car-free, allowing only scooters, bicycles, and the occasional service vehicle, which gives visitors a sense of stepping back in time. Monte Isola features a network of ferries and maintains strict driving restrictions, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere for all who visit. Getting to the island is an adventure in itself, with frequent ferries from Sulzano and other towns along the lake. Once there, visitors can easily explore the 9-kilometre perimeter by foot or bike.
